THE SEA FOOD MARKET
A PURE AND clean interior For THE SEAFOOD MARKET
Pure, clean and quality. These are the features offered by the modern delishop The Seafood Market in Amsterdam. A new business of entrepreneur De Visscher family, for which again ESTIDA took care of the interior. Obviously it was an interior that underlines these powerful features.
The Seafood Market is the third business of this family. Earlier, they opened The Seafood Bar in the ‘Van Baerlestraat’ and a second one at ‘het Spui’ in Amsterdam. ESTIDA was contracted for the development of The Spui location, because of the large scale of the project. After this succesfull colobaration, we moved back to the drawing board when the interior for this new case location had to be developed.
Building on the initial design concept we worked out an interior design in which brilliant white is combined with dark wood, white neon and a classic looking mosaic floor. Here clean goes effortless with crude, as the smooth display ranging piece of plastic is made in front of the masonry wall. The whole creates an attractive and very approachable ambiance.
Pure and approachable
More and more people do not want to prepare meals every day, and do not want to eat out either. You can thus step in here to get a good piece of fish to take home or to eat here without the need for long and sumptuous dining. At The Seafood Market eating out is accessible with a wide range of fish and seafood in a pure and inviting atmosphere.
The interior style can be described as urban-chic with qualitative and pure materials as white Carrera marble and recycled Austrian pine. To maintain the original design concept ESTIDA created in its own workshop a skylight such as in The Seafood Bar, only this time with a white frame. And, by extension, a white-openwork-steel lamp is designed and produced for the restaurant.
Good cooperation and creative support
The family De Visscher again opted for ESTIDA because of the good cooperation and creative support in the development of the original interior concept that owner Fons de Visscher had put down in his first location. And also because of the possibility to determine elements such as a clearing cabinet, lamps and a product showcases and build that made to measure, in order to give this hospitality concept its own identity.
